Spring Wetland Birds

Photographing birds like Avocet, Bearded Tit, Black tailed Godwit, Black-necked Grebe and Bluethroat takes years of preparation to achieve in the UK but in Holland this mouth watering list of birds can be photographed in a short duration trip. Working with our colleague Edwin Kats, a top Dutch nature photographer we'll have access to his local knowledge which is second to none and this will be a well-packed trip - at this time of the year everything is preparing for forthcoming breeding season. We will be spending time on the beautiful island of Texel photographing the elegant Avocets which have just come back to the island - unbelievable close-ups can be obtained and as we will spend 2 nights on the island we will be working in the best possible light. Other highlights of the trip is the chance to photograph Bearded Tits at a private location which offers probably the best opportunity of obtaining images of this stunning bird in Europe, and a fabulous site for Black-necked Grebes in full breeding plumage but with Purple Heron, Black-Tailed Godwit, Bluethroat and more besides this really is a wetland Spring photograpic treat.
