Accommodation:
Guest-house style accommodation at both of our locations is on a twin room basis and is of a typically clean and comfortable Scandinavian style.
Level of fitness:
The walk to the hides can be tough going over uneven terrain but is only about 30 minutes walking time. Long hours are spent in the suitably equipped hides though, as we will be there from the afternoon until the following morning. It is also midge season so repellent will be necessary.

Finnish Predators
Finland is one of the last bastions in Europe for once prevalent predators such as Brown Bear and Grey Wolf. Add the incredibly secretive and powerful Wolverine into the mix and you have a trio of mammals to whet the photographic appetite and which make up the targets for this trip new for 2012. Working from two different bases in remote north-eastern Finland we will be spending a total of seven consecutive nights in purpose-built and professionally placed photographic hides offering an array of habitats and each carefully managed to attract one or more of these iconic species. This will be a tiring trip but with the potential images, and just as important, experiences on offer its rewards will be well worthwhile we know.
