A new trip for us this year, Bulgaria has blown us away with it’s birdlife but as we’ve explored it over the years, we’ve also discovered a more miniature world of photographic opportunity in it’s macro inhabitants which are varied and very different to our UK and Northern European inhabitants. Working with an expert local photographer we’ll look to unearth and photograph a wide array of butterflies including, with luck, Purple Emperor, Clouded Apollo, Balkan Copper, dragonflies, a wide array of beetles, meadows full of orchids and other unusual insects in this highly focussed trip that will provide some very different photographic experiences.
