Well run birds of prey photography workshops offer an excellent opportunity not only for stunning images, but also as a environment in which to learn - composition, perfecting exposure and new approaches altogether can be achieved and as we change the set-ups and subjeccts for every workshop to make the most of the seasons you can be sure of a different and enjoyable experience every time - it's why over 70% of participants come back!
We will have the opportunity to photograph a selection of of falcons, hawks, and owls with the emphasis totally on UK and European species. current potential highlights include a Goshawk, Merlin, Hobby and Short-Eared Owl - the latter completing our UK breeding owl repertoire although participation of any particular species in a workshop cannot be guaranteed. We have a wide variety of natural habitats to photograph in so Red Kites on farmgates set against rolling hill pasture, Barn Owls on old stable doors and Buzzard mantling it's next meal are amongst the treats we have in store, with the chance to test your skills capturing falcons in flight and Great Grey Owl landing are possible options later in the day. As the seasons change, so do the locations we work at, ensuring we make the most of the stunning surroundings and making this an all year round workshop which changes every time.
Each day offers a unique opportunity to have private access to photograph in stunning settings. Ideal for the photography enthusiast after some great pictures, or the falconry fan looking for a close-up experience. Deposit required on booking is £35
