Natures Images

Tarantulas, Scorpions and Praying Mantis might not be the first wildlife subjects that leap to mind here in the UK, but a day working with them in studion conditions is an excellent opportunity to hone your macro photographic skills as well as learn about lighting techniques, creating sets and backgrounds, taking some dramatic images and overcoming any fears or phobias of the arachnid variety that you might have too!

Working alongside with their handler we will create a number of working sets for you to photograph throughout the day with the emphasis on creating natural looking habitats within controlled lighting conditions.  Subjects will vary from workshop to workshop but should include Mantis, Tarantula, Scorpions, Giant Cockroach, Locusts and more besides.

All lighting and setups are provided so you'll simply need a macro lens (100mm to 180mm range will be ideal) and a tripod for the day.  With group sizes of just 6 guests there will be plenty of coaching opportunities on composition and depth of field control after an initial briefing on the lighting and settings you'll need to be working with.

The cost for the day (including almost endless tea/coffee and a sandwich lunch) is £85 and the deposit payable on booking is £30
