Summer Mediterranean Birdlife 2010
It can be hot in the Mediterranean summer sun in Bulgaria but it didnt deter the subjects we enjoyed on a very rewarding week photographically and enjoyed by all. Rollers and Hoopoes proved challenging but succesful for some, Beeeaters were colourful and copious for all and other highlights from the most accessible Lesser Spotted Woodpecker pair, a similarly enjoyable Syrian Woodpecker to the loudest Great Reed Warbler and Marsh Frog chorus you'll ever hear certainly ensured a well-rounded trip. And as for the White Storks...well it was a sunset to remember!
