Seabird Spectacular May & June 2009
Two trips and two great photographic opportunities - 2009's Seabird Spectaculars certainly lived up to their billing. Although the strong winds in May provided the challenges that island based photography can bring at times, there weremore than enough opportunities to make the most of the wide variety of species and settings this trip offers: in June the sun never stopped shining so it meant some early and late days but what light! Gannets, Guiillemots, Razorbills, Kittiwakes, Puffins were very much at the fore but images of rabbits, dunnock, stonechat and wren were amongst the hidden extras guests found quietly by themselves as they got into the pace of island life!
"I really appreciated the opportunity to photograph most of the time and tailor pace to my personal preference"
"It was my first photography holiday with husand in tow - and it was great to see him enjoying it too: he's hooked now!"
"Photographing seabirds was on my big list of things to do - and I got Seabirds!"
