Spring Wetland Birds April 2009

A fantastic spell of Spring weather brought ideal conditions for some stunning photographic opportunities on bith Texel and mainland Holland and the birds didn't let us down either - Avocets were courting, beautiful Black-Necked Grebes glided by in early morning sunshine, Black-Tailed Godwits displayed in flower-filled meadows, and a stunning male Bluethroat sang his heart out for us - it really was a photographic treat jammed into a few short days.

"I was interested in photographing outside the UK - the trip was better than I expected and I really don't think we could have fitted in any more than we did!"
