Overview
Our British Owls workshops offer an excellent opportunity to not only capture stunning images in natural surroundings, but also act as an excellent environment in which to learn – composition, perfecting exposure and new approaches. We run the British Owls workshops at a location in Hampshire. Danny and Mark have worked with the respective falconer for a number of years now and during that period we have built a good understanding of what is needed by photographers for the workshops.
British Owls: Hampshire
The British Owls photography workshops in Hampshire are led by Danny and Mark and these one-day workshops will be geared to working on a number of birds such as Barn Owl, Tawny Owl, Little Owl and Long-eared Owl all in natural setting providing the perfect backdrop for these spectacular birds. Our falconer Pete is excellent with his birds and really understands the needs of wildlife photographers as he is an accomplished photographer himself with years of experience of working with his birds.

There are plenty of car parking spaces at the site where we photograph the British Owls so you will need to be there by 9.00 am. As soon as everyone has arrived, we will then head to the location where the birds will be.
All photographic standards are welcome, and you can be assured of individual tuition. If you have any questions on the day then please ask as I am here to help, some people do feel uncomfortable asking questions in a group but we’re all here to learn different techniques.
We will break for lunch between 12.30 and 13.00 hrs so please bring your own packed lunch or alternatively there is a shop on site where you can buy food from there. I would suggest you bring a flask of tea or coffee as there is no cafeteria on site either. The workshop is scheduled to finish at around 16:00 hrs. We will be photographing the Owls in a very natural setting which is a perfect backdrop for these spectacular birds. Pete and Sam are our falconers for the day and are excellent with their birds and really understand the needs of wildlife photographers and as natural looking images are what we always try to achieve, they are aware of any Jessies showing in your images. The birds could change as we must take into account whether they are moulting or healthy enough for the given day, but we have four species of birds to work with on the day from this selection, Barn Owl, Tawny Owl, Little Owl and Long-eared Owl.
